"Casa Vall was where we had our very first meal in Barcelona. It was right round the corner from our hotel - Le Palacete Grcia Sonder and in the middle of a square with a couple of casual restaurants. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. They were also able to provide us with an English menu. The food was decent and reasonably priced - in fact the portions were quite generous."

"While walking back from park guell, came across this place on the way there for a quick drink. First thing i noticed, mostly locals here having a quick bite or drink. Personlly, we passed by for a drink, quick service, friendly staff and really beautiful interior. If ever on the move or would like to try the food, seems like a nice spot to pass by mid-day."

"Gracia is one of the Barcelonas most local neighbourhoods with its modernist architecture and incredible local food. Casa Vall is the best one, all home made and delicious local food, the decoration, and a super local atmosphere. Highly recommended"

"Chilled local gem: delicious fresh tapas (highly recommend the artichokes with egg and the deep fried aubergines with honey and goat's cheese) and superlative service from Julius. Can't wait to go back to try the oxtail. Our experience was of impeccable, highly professional service and beautiful surroundings on the outside tables in a quiet neighbourhood square. Inside, there are plenty of seats in a well preserved neighbourhood bar/bistro, full of character. original features and an extensive drinks collection. Ample loo facilities, perfectly clean."
